Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani 4th week collection at Box Office

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD) once again remained a first choice for many movie buffs across india in the fourth week, and this made the film keep the cash registers ringing at the domestic Box Office. Although several big movies have hit the screens in the last three weeks, the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer romantic entertainer has made to third place in the desi collection collection.

Undeterred by new release Raanjhanaa and one-week old Fukrey, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani continued its dream run at the domestic business centres on its fourth Friday. The movie showed 70% growth on Saturday and Sunday. In its fourth week, the film has collected approximately Rs 9.90 crores nett at the Indian Box Office, taking its 28-day domestic total to Rs 186.99 crores nett. Its breakup is Rs 1.40 cr on Fri, Rs 2.10 cr on Sat, Rs 2.60 cr on Sun, Rs 97.8 lakhs on Mon, Rs 98.6 lakhs on Tue, Rs 93.5 lakhs on Wed and Thu 91 lacs.

The Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji's second combo movie has become the highest grosser of 2013 and third all time highest grosser in Indian cinema. Now, the question is that whether Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani would smash the records of 3 Idiots (Rs 202 crores) and Ek The Tiger (Rs 199 crores), which are holding first and second positions, respectively, in the list of all-time highest grosser Hindi movies.

In India, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has collected Rs 107.61 crores in the first week, Rs 47.67 crores in the second week, Rs 21.81 crores in the third week and Rs 9.90 crores in the fourth week. When looked at the graph of the downfall in its business, the movie has showed 55% to 60% dip in each week. Even if it moves at this ratio, the film would be able to score another Rs 8 crores to Rs 8.50 crores in the next four weeks. So it may not be able to beat the previous records.

Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor end their fight

The whole World knows that Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor don't share a very cordial relationship. Both Ranbir and Sonam made their debut together with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya, but the co-stars did not maintain any relation post the release of their film. Rumour has it that the two met on Arjun Kapoor's birthday party and decided to bury the past and start afresh.

Sonam Kapoor recently hosted a birthday party for his cousin Arjun Kapoor. Arjun's good friend Ranbir Kapoor also attended the bash.

At the party, Sonam and Ranbir met each other very warmly. It is said that Sonam and Ranbir were very close at one time, but things changed when Ranbir started dating Deepika Padukone. Well, nothing is permanent in Bollywood!

Emraan-Vidya's Ghanchakkar first day collection at Box Office

Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan's latest combo movie Ghanchakkar has not got an earth-shattering response like their last outing The Dirty Picture. Although the movie has done a decent collection at the Indian Box Office on its opening day, it has failed to smash the first day business record of the latter.

Emraan-Vidya's last outing The Dirty Picture was a huge hit at the Indian Box Office and its success has added lot of hype and expectations to their next combo movie Ghanchakkar. Trade experts had predicted that it would get an overwhelming response at the ticket counters and break the record of their previous outing.

Surprisingly, Ghanchakkar opened to a lackluster response at single screens in morning and afternoon shows on Friday. Although the film registered slightly better occupancy in multiplexes when compared to single screens, its overall business was below the mark. However, the movie picked up very well in the evening and night shows. It has collected Rs 7.2 crores nett at the Indian Box Office on the first day of its release.

But Ghanchakkar has failed to shatter the opening day record of The Dirty Picture, which had raked in Rs 9.25 crore net at the domestic Box Office on the first day of its release. Trade experts feel the movie will witness big leap on Saturday and Sunday. It should be seen whether it will be able to break the first weekend record of the latter

Let us introduce you to Aamir Khan's future daughter-in-law

Superstar Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan is a big boy now, and he is having a girlfriend too. And, if reports are to be believed, the couple is very serious about their relationship. Junaid Khan, son of Aamir and his ex-wife Reena, is having an affair with a girl named Sonam Verma.

Sonam Varma is a student of post Graduation from Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research. Sources informed a leading daily that Junaid met Sonam, almost a year back, and they have been dating each other ever since.

Junaid has already introduced his pretty girlfriend to papa Aamir Khan. And now, it would be interesting to see how far does this relationship go? Though it is too early to decide, but wonder if Sonam is Aamir's future daughter-in-law! Junaid, who just 18-years-old, has taken up filmmaking, unlike his actor father Aamir.

The Khan Junior is currently busy assisting director Rajkumar Hirani on his upcoming film, Peekay. Peekay will feature Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma in the leads. If things go really well, we hope to see Junaid making good films in future

Ranveer’s moustaches are for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Ram Leela”, where he is been paired opposite Deepika Padukone.

Ranveer says if he could, he would love to continue sporting the look.

“If I was left to be, I would have grown hair this long, a similar beard…if I wasn’t playing characters in my line and was left to be. That’s how I would have been in my personal life. I’m very attached to my moustache, I love twirling it,” Ranveer said.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, “Lootera” stars Sonakshi Sinha and hits theatres July 5.

Hindi Movie Ghanchakkar Review - Serial Kisser Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan Will Make Difference

The funky trailer of the Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan starrer Ghanchakkar has evoked enough interest and enthusiasm among those film buffs who prefer to watch entertaining yet hatke cinema. And Raj Kumar Gupta’s movie looks just that! One of the most anticipated films of this year, we feel Ghanchakkar banks on the successful pairing of Emraan and Vidya who are all set to relive their magic post the super successful – The Dirty Picture. The movie scores another point in the form of the equally hatke music by Amit Trivedi who loves to experiment with every new project. We give Ghanchakkar a big thumbs up!
Ghanchakkar features two stars who have an enviable track record at the box office – Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan. Interestingly, both feature in roles that are quite unconventional and drastically different from what both of them have done in the past. The premise of the film covers both the single screen and the multiplex audience and the uniqueness of the plot is bound to draw people’s interest! It would be interesting to see how the film fares,” points out leading exhibitor-distributor Akshaye Rathi.
Rajesh Thadani, distributor, Multimedia Combines feels, “The film looks very interesting and with no opposition, it should take a good start. Made at a budget of approximately Rs 35 crores, the buzz has managed to gain decent buzz among the audience.” Numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi predicts, “The title Ghanchakkar adds up to Number 30 – which is neither fortunate nor unfortunate, but the successful pairing of Emraan (March 24, 1979) and Vidya (January 1, 1978) will do the trick. Ghanchakkar will prove that the lead pair is also good at comedy.”
Will Raj Kumar Gupta’s first attempt at comedy bring him good fortune at the box office? This Friday will say it all…

Hindi Movie Review Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 at box office stills

Cast: Dharmendra, Sunny Deol,Bobby Deol, Neha Sharma, Kristina Akheeva, Anu Kapoor

Producer: Dharmendra

Director: Sangeeth Sivan

Movie Story: Gajodhar(Bobby Deol) and Dharam (Dharmendra) play the two cons they did in the first installment of the film while Paramveer (Sunny Deol) works for a bank. Paramveer gets a job of recovering loan from a ‘used-to-be-millionaire’ but who now looms around in debt. Dharam and Gajodhar plan to con Mr Khanna (Anu Kapoor) and suman (Neha Sharma) and Reet (Kristina Akheeva) are the two daughters of Anu Kapoor who are also a part of Dharam and Gajodhar’s plan. But their plan takes a massive u-turn when they find out Neha Sharma is not biologically Anu Kapoor’s daughter in the film. On the other hand, there is Joe Armstrong a.k.a Dude (Anupam Kher) who makes you laugh like crazy with his comic-villain role. Now the crazy ride begins with the which promises a lot of fun and a lot of laughter! Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is entertaining throughout and the action sequences are hilarious!

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 opened to a very good response in North India, while it had a low start in other parts of the country. Due to the poor reviews and rating, the movie failed to show big jump on Saturday and Sunday. The movie collected Rs 22.50 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in its opening weekend. Its breakup is Rs 7.50 cr on Fri, Rs 6.50 cr on Sat and Rs 8.50 cr on Sun.

The business of Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 dropped considerably on the weekdays. It showed approximately 37% dip in its collection. On its weekdays, the movie, which is said to have been made at Rs 20 crores, has raked in another Rs 10 crores, taking its seven-day first week total to Rs 32 crore nett in the domestic market.

Considering its budget, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is running in profit. But its business is very low, when looked at the collection of its prequel, which had raked in Rs 28+ crores nett in the first weekend. The film has failed to break the record of Yamla Pagla Deewana. Trade pandits feel that its business will be completely slowed down by new releases in the second week.

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is full of fun and action. Must watch Yamla Pagla Deewanna 2 with family.

Bollywood Hindi Movie Ishkq In Paris Review

Cast: Preity Zinta, Rhehan Malliek, Isabella Adjani, Shekhar Kapur
Director: Prem Raj

Movie Story : A girl and a guy meet cute on a train going to Paris, spend a night wandering about the city, and come out on the other side with a status that's complicated. This one line brief has resulted in so many engaging love stories, that I went in a tad hopeful. This was, after all, Paris and Preity, a city with magic and a girl with sparkle. Who knew what that combo may yield? Sadly, Ishkq In Paris comes off mostly derivative, and wholly predictable.

Preity plays Ishkq (yes, that's her name) who lives in Paris with her beautiful French mum (Adjani). She's the kind of girl who thinks nothing of taking off for a weekend to Rome because she 'loves being served by Italian waiters'. She wants to have fun but is commitment phobic. Which seems just such a perfect fit with Akash (Malliek), who is exactly the same. Their meanderings around dim-lit strangely-empty Parisian cafes and streets, with the mandatory Eiffel Tower moment, are filled with chatter, all very Before Sunrise. Some of that yakkity-yak is dotted with a few funny lines; you smile. And then you stop.

Because soon enough, all the clichés that you can think of start popping up, and it all becomes downbeat. Ishkq is the way she is not because that's who she is. The poor thing has daddy issues. Dear old daddy (Kapur, looking grizzled in a tiny cameo) left her and mum, see? Which leads to abandonment issues. If daddy scarpered, so will Akash, won't he? So on and so forth. There's even a cloudburst that accompanies an emotional blow-out between Ishqk and Akash: you know, the kind that used to happen in the movies of yore where the rain-water mingled with the heroine's tears. Remind me again, we are in 2013, yes?

Predictable, boring but if you want to see Miss Zinta, go for it. If you don’t want to go for it, you can catch our walkthrough of the movie here!

Bollywood Hindi Movie Fukrey Review

Cast: Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Richa Chaddha, Vishaka Singh, Priya Anand

Director: Mrighdeep Singh Lamba

Producer: Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani.

Plot: Fukrey is about four young guys and their ambition to make it large in life! They would just about anything to get some fame and a lot of money. Choocha [Varun Sharma] dreams something every night which helps Hunny [Pulkit Samrat] analyse the dream and derives it into a lucky lottery number. The youngsters wish to capture their exam question papers well in advance which requires alot of money and for that they need someone who could invest in their ‘business’. Lali [Manjot Singh] and Zafar [Ali Fazal] are two similar kind of guys with the same mentality and aspirations and they decide to join Choocha and Hunny in their quest. But when they grab a loan from Bholi Punjaban [Richa Chadda], who plays a female gangster, their whole journey turns into a roller coaster ride filled with troubles and plights.

Pulkit, Manjot, Ali and Varun, all of them have done a wonderful job and get a lot of time to shine on the screen. Pulkit just beams of confidence and looks like a great future ahead of him. Manjot performs brilliantly aswell. Ali who was last seen inAlways Kabhi Kabhi is top class with his performance but Varun does a great job making you laugh and roll on the floor! Richa Chadda has done her part very convincingly and her introduction in the movie doesn’t bore you even though the trailers were focused on it. Pankaj Tripathi and Vishaka Singh have also done justice to their roles.

All in all, a great movie with some amazing dialogues. You will enjoy and you will love it!
